An amazing week!
Posted by ccupid on October 29, 2008
I just got back on Friday night from a week in Whistler on our annual RTG conference. It was a great week with a amazing finish. I was totaly surprised when I won the Sales Award for the year, it was even more surprising when shortly after that I won the Computer Manager of the Year Award. The whole night turned into something that borders on the sureal. Part of it, before I was drinking, is a blur just from the increadable amount of adrenaline that was pulsing through my body. It was a amazing night and I hope that sometime I will get to do it again.

It’s all about me.

Those of you who deem this worthy of a read might at some time think this is about you, pbbbt its about me I am writing about me me me. I have spent my time worrying about you, all of you any of you and not about me. In my search to find out who I was and who I want to be I find myself realizing that I need to worry about myself, and let others worry about themselves. Your all old enough to look after yourselves and I am needing to look after myself.

Rider game number two
Posted by ccupid on October 4, 2008
I was lucky enough to go to the October 3rd Rider home game, Gerald had a spare free ticket and asked me to come along. We left early on game day and went to meet John in Regina at a bar called Bushwakker Brewpub. It’s a nice little Scottish microbrewery that has a great tradition called ‘frikin fridays’ that happens on the first friday of the month, as it happens that’s when we were there. A frikin is a small keg that the brewmaster makes and is brought to the bar by the pipe and drum, (music I want to be carried out to btw). When the frikin is placed on the bar a volunteer then gets the honour of tapping the keg, this results in either a large spray of beer or a trickle depending on the amount of carbonation in the frikin. After enjoying that part of the day we then set out to the game, which by some great foresight by Gerald was only a couple of blocks from the bar. There is nothing like watching the Riders win with 30k of your closest friends, thats the nice thing about a home game especially one that you win, everyone is everyones friend. Aside from a few who over indulged, but that happens all the time. All in all it was a great day and a great game, were back were we need to be.
