An amazing week!
Posted by ccupid on October 29, 2008
I just got back on Friday night from a week in Whistler on our annual RTG conference. It was a great week with a amazing finish. I was totaly surprised when I won the Sales Award for the year, it was even more surprising when shortly after that I won the Computer Manager of the Year Award. The whole night turned into something that borders on the sureal. Part of it, before I was drinking, is a blur just from the increadable amount of adrenaline that was pulsing through my body. It was a amazing night and I hope that sometime I will get to do it again.

It’s all about me.
Posted by ccupid on October 19, 2008
Those of you who deem this worthy of a read might at some time think this is about you, pbbbt its about me I am writing about me me me. I have spent my time worrying about you, all of you any of you and not about me. In my search to find out who I was and who I want to be I find myself realizing that I need to worry about myself, and let others worry about themselves. Your all old enough to look after yourselves and I am needing to look after myself.

Rider game number two
Posted by ccupid on October 4, 2008
I was lucky enough to go to the October 3rd Rider home game, Gerald had a spare free ticket and asked me to come along. We left early on game day and went to meet John in Regina at a bar called Bushwakker Brewpub. It’s a nice little Scottish microbrewery that has a great tradition called ‘frikin fridays’ that happens on the first friday of the month, as it happens that’s when we were there. A frikin is a small keg that the brewmaster makes and is brought to the bar by the pipe and drum, (music I want to be carried out to btw). When the frikin is placed on the bar a volunteer then gets the honour of tapping the keg, this results in either a large spray of beer or a trickle depending on the amount of carbonation in the frikin. After enjoying that part of the day we then set out to the game, which by some great foresight by Gerald was only a couple of blocks from the bar. There is nothing like watching the Riders win with 30k of your closest friends, thats the nice thing about a home game especially one that you win, everyone is everyones friend. Aside from a few who over indulged, but that happens all the time. All in all it was a great day and a great game, were back were we need to be.

My Mom’s old.
Posted by ccupid on September 18, 2008
I went to Edmonton to spend a day with my mother for her birhtday. It was a good day for both of us, I was kinda scared that surprising the old lady like that would cause her a heart attack, but she’s been in mostly good health and what the heck it was worth the risk. She had no idea that all her children would be showing up and spending the day with her, but I believe she was pleased.

You can’t do it
Posted by ccupid on April 24, 2008
You can’t take care of someone who doesn’t want to get better. Once someone be it your mother, sister, father, brother and or children decide that they don’t want to looked after there is nothing you can do to change that. Sometimes we believe that by being sick we keep those that we love closer to us because they have to take care of us. Unfortunately what ends up happening sometimes is that the care givers get so fed up with banging their heads against the wall they can’t do it anymore. When my one sister blew the whistle on my other sister with social services the one that got caught was furious, so far though she is getting the help that she needs to get her life back together. If she doesn’t I think that as a family we’re done this is it we won’t come charging to the rescue anymore. We all have our limits and once they have been reached it’s hard to go past that point, you can try and sometimes you can make a bit of a difference. But when it comes right down to it, it’s out of your hands you can’t do it they have to.

As long as the summer is green
Posted by ccupid on April 22, 2008
This has got to be one of the strangest springs that I can remember, here it is April 21st and once again the ground is white. Now if you look back a couple of posts you’ll clearly see that I was talking about golf. I don’t usually talk about golf until I have at least hit a bucket of balls. Now I’m not nuts, well not completely anyways so it has to be nice for me to go stand in a field and swing my sticks to get ready for the season.
But fuck me of it’s not snowing outside and supposed to be like this all week. I have had enough I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again I am not into snowy sports so make sure that the summer is green.

Whatever
Posted by ccupid on April 21, 2008
Why is it when I says whatever others alway think that I am in bad mood. Can’t it be just ‘whatever’ doesn’t that give the other person the green light to make the decision. Am I the only person who can make choices.

Twice in a lifetime
Posted by ccupid on April 21, 2008
I recently watched a episode of the show of the same name that really makes me think. Now by no means does TV run my life to such a extent that I must do what I see. Although the show did bring some of the things that I have been pondering to the top of the heap once again.

Golf is good
Posted by ccupid on April 14, 2008
Whoever thought that swinging a big stick at a little ball could be so stress relieving. When you add a walk into the mix pure genius. I vow to golf once every other week this year and I’m going to try to make it once a week if I can, even if its just a bucket of balls that I smash down the driving range.
If I had the money honey I would golf my days away.
